Skinner Boys (and mom, too!)

Let the games begin! Holiday sessions have started and boy are they fun. Has the weather been beautiful or what? There was plenty of giggling and baby talk, oh, and "fishing" too, of course.

Ty

Ty graduated from a high school in Boston last year and she has joined us here in lovely Lubbock. She works at Starbucks and makes every coffee drinker's life better with her crazy antics and hilarious stories. In fact, I'm shocked that I got her to stop talking for these photos :)

Christmas Cards

Yes, I am fully aware of the fact that it is not yet Halloween, but believe it or not, now is the time to get rollin' on Christmas cards!

I'm so excited about this year's collection and I can't wait to start printing these adorable things out. I even wanted to get some for Jordan and I, but maybe we should get a dog first... or a fish... or something? We'll see :)

Danielle + Matt

Matt is a firefighter in Odessa, Texas, and Danielle teaches elementary art at Trinity school in Midland - which just so happens to be where I went to high school! Small world, I tell ya.

We met up in Lamesa to take some lovey dovey engagement shots, and the fire department of Lamesa totally hooked us up to take photos on one of their antique fire trucks from the '20s. Pretty awesome of them!

The Pecks

This family had me laughing throughout our time together, and I had so much fun watching them all interact as a family. Talk about some fireballs for kiddos!

Matt works with Jordan at Evensky & Katz and I've really enjoyed getting to know this fam over the last couple months. Ooo and you should all check out Christi's blog... She has a really amazing story.

happy birthday, pops.

It's my dad's birthday today. I wish I could be up in Oklahoma (never thought i'd say that...) to celebrate with him, but since I'm not, how about I use the ol blog world to bridge that distance, eh?

My dad is hilarious. And smart and cheesy and wise and gray. I blame him for a lot, really. My ridiculous jokes, "punny" humor, my insatiable desire to play pranks on anyone at any time... It's his fault.

I think he's getting funnier with age, and maybe more sensitive and thoughtful, too. Or maybe I'm just growing up and I can actually see him as more than my dad. I've seen him be the best brother, uncle, father-in-law, husband and friend anyone could ever wish for.

Before I get too emotional here, I better stop myself and start with the photos... That's the best part anyway.

I said my dad was wise... Well, here he is. As one of the three wise men, of course :) Weird things happen when family gets together.

Nephew Awesomeness

Hello all. It's been a while, huh?

I have some excuses for not blogging and all, but I'm now realizing that my excuses don't really matter. What does matter is how STINKIN cute this child is. Avery is his name.

While his mama went on a walk to Emmaus, Avery and his dad came to visit Aunt Brittany and Uncle Georgio. It was so great to spend time with the little guy - he kept us entertained for sure. So here it is - our mini photo shoot in our front yard.
