Matti

I'm pretty confident that every one of my seniors has "worked it" for me... But dang. This Matti chick didn't just work it. She WORKED IT! I mean, my camera was exhausted after our session.

We also discovered that we're both 6-foot tall brunettes who fancy jeep commanders, enjoy a bit of jason mraz, dave barnes and john mayer. Matti is going to play volleyball in college in San Marcos, and she's going to kick some butt.

Where I've been the past 5 days...

Kentucky!

First off, I've never been to Kentucky - only driven through, so that doesn't count. My goodness, it's gorgeous! Rolling hills, covered in greeeeen green grass, with perfect little fences all around. Just beautiful.

What was even better was the fact that we got a good three solid days in with Ryan, Amberly, Morgan and Athan (Ryan is Jordan's oldest brother). We did a lot of relaxing and catching up, and it was so great to finally see where these guys have been living for the past few years.

Jasmine + Wes

Jasmine is just precious. Even her name is precious. And just by the way Wes looks at her, you can tell he adores her more than anyone else in the world. It's really a beautiful thing that a photo can capture that.

There will be wedding photos to come in the fall, so keep an eye out!

Katie + Scott

These two love to laugh, love to dance, and love to enjoy life. That's what I picked up on throughout our session, anyway. Katie's about to finish up her masters here at Tech, and Scott teaches in Amarillo.

Oh yeah, Katie has been studying sign language at Tech, too... you'll see that play out in one of the photos.

Aaron

Just like his two older brothers, Daniel and Taylor, Aaron will be playing football for Tech next year! The Charbonnets' are awesome and Jordan and I have loved getting to know the whole fam.

Representin' Farwell, Tx, Amberli and her precious mom came to Lubbock for a fun senior session! I really enjoyed getting to know them as we drove around town. Hope you guy enjoy some of my favorites!

Amy + Brian

These too are FUN-EEEEEE.

Amy and Brian met all because of a water fountain. They were both parched and wanted some water. So they were walking around, trying to find the thing that would quench their thirst and they found each other along the way. AWWW!

I enjoyed our time together, yous guys! My mouth hurt afterward, from smiling and laughing so much :)

Amy's bubble is bigger. BOO YAHHH!!

Wade... well, sort of.

We were optimistic - maybe a little TOO optimistic.

You see, Lubbock decided to have it's yearly thunderstorm today, so Wade and I thought... Hey, this could be fun. I'm sure it won't even rain.

Not so much. It started sprinkling, but we kept driving. It started pouring, and we thought about turning around. Well, after about 3 minutes of the hail, we thought... ehhhh okay u-turn, here we come.

Then, the funniest quote of the day happened. "Uh oh," Wade said. "You're car's leaking."

I'm sorry, my car is what?

Yes, the commander had a steady stream of water coming out from the handle?? We laughed a lot as we were trying to communicate by yelling loudly because the hail was so loud.

It was a fun time though, and we still got took some fun photos as he 'waded' through the water. Baha! So thanks for the laughs, Lubbock.

Sarah

Sarah is from Midland, my old stomping grounds, and she's headed to TCU for college. I met her mom at Starbucks and it's been so much fun getting to know their family over the past couple of months. I just love random connections!

Stormie

All the way from Crane, Texas, folks. Stormie and her fun sister, Jennifer, came to Lubbock on another lovely, yet windy, day. She had some fun outfits and I liked her spunk!

Julia

Ju and I go way back. Not only was she one of my youth group kiddos, but she was also my roomie during the summer before Jordan and I got married. Yep, her wonderful family welcomed me in with open arms and I loved every minute of it!

Julia is hilarious. She keeps everyone laughing with her made up words and clever phrases. She's a natural leader and a lover of God, and you just can't help but be happy when you're around her.

AAAANNNNDDDD she's going to be a Red Raider! Woohoooo!

Abbi + Cole

These two make quite a pair, and I think I could laugh at them laughing at each other all day long.

Jordan (my hubby) and Cole met each other their freshman year at Texas Tech, and have their fair share of embarrassing stories of each other - one being when Cole won the Stangel/Murdough Idol talent show by singing "Any Man of Mine" in a mini skirt. Pretttyyyyy funny!

Anyhow, these two are getting married in July and I can't wait for the day to come!











they're ballers and stuff... you might recognize Cole from "Knight School." :)

Out of town...

My sister's wedding is this weekend! I'm heading to Fort Worth today to join in on all the festivities. Expect more blog goodness when I return!

Jacquelyn + Andrew

It was such a beautiful night at the Lubbock Club. I know Lubbock isn't the most glamorous city and all, but it sure looks nice from the top of the Wells Fargo Building!

Jacquelyn was all smiles all day long, and Andrew would just stare at her. He was smitten, and he will be forever, I'm sure!

Photog Phun

I love how business and fun and friends all overlaps beautifully in photography. A few of us photogs went out and flirted it up for each other last night.

For those of you who don't know, I'm not a huge fan of being on the other side of the lens (unless I'm with a hunk like my husbo), so I was a bit hesitant on this outing. Well, turns out it was a blast and it's really not THAT scary. Needless to say, I think it'll help me with those clients who share my discomfort :)
